Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the "QR Scanner & Barcode Launcher" Android application ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Automatically Collected Information When you use our App, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
  • Network Information: Network connection status and type (Wi-Fi, cellular data).
  • App Usage Data: Features accessed, scan frequency, session duration, and crash reports.

2. Information You Provide

The App does not require you to create an account or enter any personal information. QR codes are scanned locally on your device — we do not store or transmit the content of scanned codes to our servers.

3. Launcher Functionality

This App functions as a home screen launcher. After installation, it may become your default home screen and change your current home screen layout. None of your apps are deleted — they remain on your device and can be accessed anytime through the App Library and app search. You can switch back to your previous launcher at any time from your device settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  • App Functionality: To scan and decode QR codes effectively using your device's camera.
  • Performance Monitoring: To detect crashes and improve app stability.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze usage trends and enhance app features.
  • Notifications (if enabled): To provide updates or important app-related messages.

5. Permissions Explained

Our App requires the following permissions for proper functionality:

  • CAMERA: To scan QR codes using your device's camera.
  • INTERNET: Required for checking app updates, loading web content from scanned URLs, and serving ads.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To detect network availability and optimize app performance.
  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: As a launcher, the App reads the list of apps installed on your device so it can display and organize them in the App Library and app search. This list is used only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.
  • BIND_APPWIDGET: As a launcher, this permission allows the App to display and bind home screen widgets (such as the clock and other widgets) on your home screen.
  • EXPAND_STATUS_BAR: This permission allows the App to expand or collapse the status bar (notification panel) on your device.
  • REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES: This permission lets the App show the standard uninstall prompt only when you choose to remove an app. The App never deletes any app on its own — uninstalling always needs your confirmation.

We request only the minimum permissions needed for the app to function correctly.

6. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Processing: All QR scan results are processed locally on your device.
  • No Server Storage: We do not store or transmit scanned QR content to external servers.
  • Security Practices: We follow industry-standard security measures to protect any data processed within the app.
